2. Third parties:
In general, the personal data collected on the Paralab website are not transferred to third parties, unless this is required to comply with a legal obligation or to perform a contract.
Where data are transferred to third parties, Paralab remains jointly responsible with its processors for processing personal data fairly, lawfully and transparently. The processor may only process personal data in accordance with the instructions defined by Paralab and always in strict compliance with the law and the purposes entrusted to it under the contract entered into.
The transfer of personal data to processors will only be carried out within the scope of contractually established relationships with Paralab, and only when there is a lawful basis that justifies it.
In order to ensure the confidentiality and security of the data, Paralab will take the legally required measures to ensure that the processor provides sufficient guarantees for the protection of personal data, is a reputable entity, and has adequate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of or access to personal data, and against any other unlawful form of processing, agreed in particular through a contract between Paralab and the processor, under which the latter undertakes to act only on the instructions of the former in matters relating to the processing of personal data.
Paralab’s processors will only process personal data for the purposes defined and agreed between the parties, and must also ensure that data retention, when necessary and applicable, complies with the time limits established by law and/or contractually.
Data subjects must be informed, at the time their data are collected, of any sharing with Paralab’s processors, whenever possible identifying the organisation and its contact details, as well as the purpose of such sharing.
If data are transferred to a Paralab processor located in a third country outside the European Union, that processor must maintain a level of data protection equivalent to that provided by the legislation in force within the European area, in particular that set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.
In the context of international data transfers, at least one of the following procedures must be followed:
An individual contract or standard contractual clauses adopted directly by the European Commission or by a supervisory authority
The processor’s participation in a certification scheme or standard accredited or recognised by the EU as ensuring an adequate level of protection
Recognition that the processor’s binding corporate rules ensure an adequate level of data protection, issued by supervisory authorities
The existence of an adequacy decision regarding the third country, territory or specific sector of that third country, or regarding the international organisation concerned.
The rules applicable to cross-border data transfers will not apply where occasional and necessary operations are required for the performance of a contract or within the scope of contentious proceedings (judicial, administrative, or proceedings before regulatory bodies or similar).
3. Principles, security and rights:
Internal security and privacy rules include:
Processing data lawfully and fairly, collecting only the information necessary and relevant to the intended purpose
Not using the data collected for a purpose incompatible with that for which they were collected
Ensuring the data subject’s explicit consent whenever required
Guaranteeing, free of charge, the right to have data erased when requested by the data subject
